SPRING ISSUE 2/22/19
The Raritan Bay Anglers Club held their Annual Fisherman’s Flea Market on Saturday, February 2nd between the hours of 8am and 2pm. This event was held at the E-Hotel in Edison. Vendors from the tristate area were on hand with both new and used fishing gear. This event was our biggest yet with well over 110 tables and record numbers passing through the door, this show is quickly becoming the premier event of the season. Admission was only $5 for adults and children over the age of 12. Thanks to all of our great vendors and patrons who came out to make this show a huge success.
A mega raffle was held for over $2200 worth of prizes which included a charter trip, boating safety class, a cooler, bunker spoons, mojo’s and all types of fishing lures and tackle for both inshore and offshore.
Congratulations to Barbara Calvanelli and Darrell Weaver who were the lucky winners of this prize package.

M3 Tackle Speaks at Raritan Bay Anglers Club Meeting
Ryan Marlin and the staff of M3 Tackle were on hand at our February meeting to talk to the members about their line of fishing products. They have a great line of bunker spoons for stripers and flutter spoons for fluke as well as snagless sinkers, bottom bangers, jigs and more. Their line of fishing products are a must for all angler’s tackle box.
The pro staff shared their secrets on fishing and rigging the spoons. They showed us different ways to fish both the bunker spoons and the flutter spoons. They went over different techniques needed to fish the tides and depth in both the bay and the ocean. This was a very informative talk by a knowledgeable staff. “Raritan Bay Anglers Club” is a non-profit organization for fishing enthusiasts in the Raritan Bay and Sandy Hook Bay areas. Club activities such as our Annual Charity Fluke Tournament support local charities plus organizations that protect our marine environment.”
The Raritan Bay Anglers Club began as small group of Perth Amboy fisherman who happened to own boats that were docked at the original Perth Amboy Marina. The group ended up disbanding while the new marina was being built and later reformed in 1991 to include fisherman from other areas of the state.
