The Covid-19 Pandemic is Affecting Us All

We are in unprecedented times. The corona virus has affected us all. Many of us have lost family, friends, coworkers and neighbors. We must all pull together and follow the stay at home to save lives order and social distancing when we have to go out.

Many of our club members want to get out fishing during this spring striper run. Some boats were able to get launched and some are still sitting on land because of marina and boat yard closures. Party and charter boats have been shut down. It’s a tough situation for us all. Be patient, we will get through this.

One positive note that may come from this is less pressure on the bass which may give us a better spawn and increase biomass in the upcoming years.

RBAC Supports Our Heroes on the Front Lines

The Raritan Bay Anglers Club is donating 10 pizzas every Tuesday to Hackensack Meridian Health at Raritan Bay Medical center in Perth Amboy. It is our way of saying Thank You to these brave medical professionals who leave their own families to help save ours.

Please Help us by donating a pizza for our frontline heroes at Raritan Bay Medical Center. Pies are only $7. Help the people who give there lives TO SAVE us!

You can help by calling the DOMINO’S in Perth Amboy 732-442-4433 before 5pm on Tuesdays. Tell them you are joining our pizza drive. This food will go directly to our heroes saving lives on the front line at the Hospital. Thank you from Raritan Bay Anglers Club.

Raritan Bay Anglers Annual Fisherman’s Flea Market

RBAC Fisherman Flea Market
E-Hotel

The Raritan Bay Anglers Club held their Annual Fisherman’s Flea Market on Saturday, February 2nd between the hours of 8am and 2pm. This event was held at the E-Hotel in Edison. Vendors from the tristate area were on hand with both new and used fishing gear. This event was our biggest yet with well over 110 tables and record numbers passing through the door, this show is quickly becoming the premier event of the season. Admission was only $5 for adults and children over the age of 12. Thanks to all of our great vendors and patrons who came out to make this show a huge success.

A mega raffle was held for over $2200 worth of prizes which included a charter trip, boating safety class, a cooler, bunker spoons, mojo’s and all types of fishing lures and tackle for both inshore and offshore. Congratulations to Barbara Calvanelli and Darrell Weaver who were the lucky winners of this prize package.

The Raritan Bay Anglers Club began as small group of Perth Amboy fisherman who happened to own boats that were docked at the original Perth Amboy Marina. The group ended up disbanding while the new marina was being built and later reformed in 1991 to include fisherman from other areas of the state.
